Trainings

I have been conducting seminars and lectures since 2000. I took my first steps as a student when I explained to companies in the Bergisches Land in North Rhine-Westphalia how they could go online and develop database-supported websites.

Individual Trainings

Since individual in-house seminars are often booked, a word about the organization. Your company laptop and a meeting room with presentation technology are all you need. We give lots of examples, so that participation and co-development should be the most important goal.

DB-Development

The relational model has been around for over 40 years, and I have been teaching various topics in relational databases for more than 20 years.

  • MS SQL Server: T-SQL, Integration of XML and JSON, Administration
  • Oracle: SQL and PL/SQL, XML and JSON-Integration

MS Azure & MS Fabric

Large amounts of data, integration from different sources and innovative analyses require new data platforms.

  • Data Lakehouse-Development
  • Apache Spark
  • MS Fabric / Azure Synapse

Data Science

Data analysis has seen a huge increase in interest in recent years. Even here, companies have only been using statistics and data mining intensively for the last 10 years, and more recently, big data.

I teach statistics/data science with R and Python, the statistical functions of the two databases MS SQL Server and Oracle, and show, especially for engineering statistics, how to use DOE and SPC with Minitab.

Data Integration & XML

XML and important standards such as XML Schema and XSLT have been around for over 20 years. I have been dealing with this topic in my books and seminars for almost as long, and it is becoming increasingly popular.

In addition to manual programming with XSLT and XSL-FO, I also use Altova StyleVision and MapForce and oXygen.

Possible uses include the creation of interfaces, data modeling, transformation and presentation.
